![]() The Eta Sigma chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was installed on April 23, 1982 and the Zeta Psi chapter of Tau Beta Sigma was installed on August 22, 1982 at the University of Central Florida. Since installation, both chapters have worked together at the University of Central Florida to serve their university bands. The Florida Day event originated at the university as a way for the Florida chapters to meet and bond. However, the event has since become popular enough to include all 7 states within the Southeast District.
Florida Day begins on Friday June 4th, with a meet and greet dinner at Wackadoos at the Student Union at UCF. This event is a great icebreaker for brothers and sisters to meet as well as eat and play arcade games. Saturday, June 5th is a day in the sun of Central Florida where Eta Sigma and Zeta Psi reserve the entire leisure pool on campus as well as volleyball courts for brothers and sisters to fellowship and have fun. This year the Florida Day event expands to include a Saturday night dinner event on campus where brothers and sisters will dine, dance and have a fantastic evening. Sunday, June 6th, brothers and sisters will carpool to Cocoa Beach, FL to walk around town and have an exciting day at the beach. We hope that you join us this summer at Florida Day 2010!
